In twelve years of marriage, our family has lived in 5 homes, on 2 coasts, in 3 states, and in 2 countries. I’m striving to create a strong, resilient and happy family despite moving far from family and friends. Dave (my husband) and I believe life is an adventure, and we are blessed to have many places we call home.

I started this blog as a way to document our family’s moves and adventures, but it’s turned into so much more that that.

These days are missed, loved, gone… but I’m enjoying each new phase of being a mom.

These days are missed, loved, gone… but I’m enjoying each new phase of being a mom.

The world is enormous, childhood is fleeting; life is an adventure. My little family is blooming in our new home(s) while maintaining deep roots.

We’re finding that balance between adventure and reality; setting up homes and systems that create time for fun; maintaining connections despite time and distance; navigating logistical-nightmare moves with … grace (was gonna say ease, but I’ll keep it real!); and figuring out parenting as we go.

In the past 10 years, I’ve:

  • had two kids under two

  • had three children under age four

  • survived 2 intensive years of daily therapy for our son

  • had a husband who traveled 2 out of every 4 weeks

  • lived in a different country from my husband (married single mom)

  • lived 3000 miles from family and in a different country from family

  • and were separated from family and friends by a closed international border (covid) for 19 months

If I can find joy in parenting, so can you!

I’m here to help you eliminate your Groundhog’s Day symptoms (I think I just coined a phrase!). I’m here to help you become a calmer and more connected parent. And I’m here to inspire you to be creative, get outside, and create joy in your life.

Being a mom is like no other job in the world- it can be lonely. But we aren’t alone. We have each other. I love sharing what’s worked for me, and I know you can transform your home and find joy in motherhood, too.
